Events and Exhibitions:
Exhibitions and Special events are all Free Admission:
We have an exhibition every two years in a large marquee at the pottery. We have different themes and invited participants. Over the years we have had “Dishes for Dishes”, “Canvas and Catwalk”, “Fine Lincolnshire Crafts”, “Silversmiths”, “A Potter’s Market” etc and lately one man shows of ceramic sculptures “Outside in” . “Frivolous Forms” "Once upon a time..." by Michel.
The exhibition for 2014 was "Twilight", a series of large sculptural garden lights, which ran from April 14th to 26th. In 2016 we exhibited "Invisible cities" and in August 2020 we hosted a Potters Market under canvas.
In 2021, over the Late May Bank Holiday Weekend, May 29th, 30th and 31st we will be open at the workshop but also we will take part in the Alford Craft Market Ceramics Festival alongside many potters, exhibition, competitions, demonstrations, films and much more, in the Manor House Gardens. I will be demonstrating the making of Rope pottery. Look at the POTERIE A LA CORDE page on this website under " More..." to find out about it.
This is now historical as we no longer put on large exhibitions and we have donated our marquee to the Alford Civic Trust.
We do however continue to participate in exhibitions of Sculptures in Galleries and have lately exhibited in Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Norfolk, either in group Exhibitions or with one selected artist or solo and will be exhibiting in Nottinghamshire next year. Details are usually posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
